Our Mission

We are an amateur sports organization that fosters national sports competition through the development of amateur athletes for national competition in roller derby. Our members are proud to be positive role models for young people by displaying a good sense of sportsmanship, personal integrity, and ethical conduct and look forward to continued growth regionally and nationally.

Gallatin Roller Derby achieved WFTDA Apprenticeship League status in January 2014 and full WFTDA member status in October 2015.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit and a State of Montana non-profit.

Extraordinary Experiences

“GRD gave me a sense of belonging when I was new to the area. Since then, they have become my family.”

“There’s no fear of getting cut or not being good enough- there’s just excitement to discover what you’re capable of.”

Practice, practice, practice…Never give up!!!! Some of us weren’t very good at skating when we started but the more you come to practice the better you get.”

We are volunteer run and donation/sponsorship supported. We welcome all women 18+ as league skaters and women and men 18+ as Referees and Non-Skating Officials.
